Manhattan

Did you know

While the true origins of the Manhattan cocktail are somewhat unknown, one of the earliest recorded Manhattan recipes calls for ‘American Whiskey.’ This recipe was from a time when rye was king, therefore the author was most likely referring to rye whiskey. The rye-forward profile of Redemption Rye pairs beautifully with the herbaceous vermouth this cocktail requires.

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Redemption Rye Whiskey
  • 1 part Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Directions

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice
  2. Strain neat into a coupe glass
  3. Garnish with cherries
