The Waldorf

The Waldorf finds its origins at the Waldorf Hotel in New York City in the early 1900s, and was later revived for contemporary drinkers by “The King of Cocktails”, Dale Degroff.

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Redemption Rye Whiskey
  • ¾ parts Sweet Vermouth
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Absinthe rinsed glass

Directions

  1. Rinse Nic and Nora glass with absinthe
  2. Pour excess absinthe into stirring glass
  3. Stir all ingredients with ice
  4. Strain neat into Nic and Nora glass
  5. Garnish with expressed lemon peel
